Even the world’s best sportsmen remain humble despite the fame and fortune they have.

Proof of this is the exceptional acts of kindness they’ve shown their biggest fans. Let’s look at four world-famous athletes and the moments they went above and beyond for their supporters.

Meeting His Hero

Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired millions of fans throughout his almost two-decade professional career. Only a few will get the chance to meet him in person, though.

Ronaldo and his team were on the way to the World Cup when he noticed a young fan crying because he missed meeting him. So, he went down the bus to say hello to the boy and even take pictures with him.

The interaction probably took just half a minute, but we bet it’s still an experience that the boy would remember for the rest of his life.

Celebrity Prom Date

The year was 2013, and Dwyane Wade was one of the hardcourt’s most valuable players. This didn’t stop him from making a fan’s dream come true, though.

Nicole Muxo, a fan of the Miami Heat shooting guard, was about to attend her prom at the Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School. Wanting to make the night special, she sent out an invite to Wade to be her date via a YouTube video.

Wade, who rejected a previous homecoming invite from the fan, finally accepted and surprised her by showing up at her prom.

Going Above and Beyond

Roger Federer is an all-around great guy on and off the tennis court. Don’t believe us?

Then you’ve probably never heard of the time he flew out a fan to London so that she can watch him live at Wimbledon. The lucky girl is Beatriz Tinoco, a then-17-year-old tennis fan who has amazingly beaten cancer not just once but twice.

Federer, being a gracious host, even invited the teen to play tennis on the world-famous court. As Tinoco shared, the athlete allowed her to use his racket after she told him she didn’t have one.

Best Party Crasher

One of the biggest plays of Cam Newton’s career as an NFL quarterback didn’t happen on the football field. He pulled it when he crashed a party for a 10-year-old boy ill with terminal cancer, who also happens to be a big fan of him.

The athlete decided to make an appearance at Elijah Aschbrenner’s advanced Halloween party and even brought an ice cream truck with him.

Unfortunately, the boy passed away just over a month after the surprise.
